About Author Nancy Eskijian
Nancy Eskijian is Senior Pastor of Bread of Life Foursquare Gospel Church in Los Angeles, California where she has served for over 18 years. Bread of Life is an urban church with English and Spanish spoken at every service, as well as a fusion of Jewish and Gentile spiritual roots, ministering to needs of people, both spiritually and physically through the power of the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Bread of Life has an expansive food ministry, currently reaching a population of more than 2500 each month from God’s Food pantry at the Church in Mid-City Los Angeles, and 2000 per month at its Imperial Courts Housing Project Foodbank in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Prior to being one of the founding pastors of Bread of Life, Nancy co-pastored "Church in the Park" for three years, a church for the homeless in Santa Monica, California with Pastor Ellen Wohl, a Jewish believer, who is also a founding pastor of Bread of Life. Church in the Park held open air services, including worship, preaching, praying for the sick and demonized, providing communion to the homeless, distribution of clothes, tracts, and Bibles, and feeding 150-200 every Sunday.
Along with being a pastor in an inner city church, Nancy worked for several years as a lawyer in the position of Vice President and Senior Counsel for a major Southern California corporation.
Nancy is author of two books, including Restoration NOW, which was nominated for the 2012 Christian Small Publisher Book of the Year Award in the Non-Fiction–Christian Living category. Restoration NOW is a detailed resource on the ministry of inner healing and deliverance for ministers and lay persons to enable believers to reclaim their intended identity, inheritance and purpose in Christ. Her latest book, Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Sex and Gender and the Bible, What’s Hot and What’s Not According to Scripture, is a practical and powerful teaching about the divine foundation of human life, with a “biblically correct” study of gender and sexuality, holiness and wholeness. She was also the editor of Orphans of the Genocide, by Bared Maronian and Maggie Mangassarian-Goshin, as well as a contributor to At the Crossroads of Der Zor by Hilmar Kaiser, both books on the Armenian Genocide.
Pastor Eskijian is an ordained minister of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. Her heart has been to bring people to salvation, and the wholeness promised by the word of God, to heal the broken-hearted and set the captives free. Her other abiding theme is to bring people into their divine destiny through a holy and obedient walk with the Lord for His plan and purposes.
